How To Install New Memory In Macbook Pro
Q: Possible to upgrade 2022 Macbook pro RAM?
Is it possible to manually upgrade the memory (or storage) of a recent xiii" Macbook Pro?
I got the iii GhZ model with the 256 GB drive & 8 GB memory on the assumption that I could upgrade in a year or two when I start feeling the limitations, but looking around for guides, I'm worried that information technology's non possible to do this on my own.

Out of luck. They tell you that yous can't upgrade it subsequently on, and so you lot must decide at the betoken of buy.

On the bright side of things, Apple tree laptops agree their value well so yous can always sell it. Apple has a trade-in program that offers decent (non nifty) value, just is very like shooting fish in a barrel. If you sell on eBay or similar y'all can probably expect to recoup 75% of the value subsequently a year, and 50% later 3 years.

It's not. Both the RAM and SSD are 'onboard' which means soldered in this model. In the original Retina models, y'all could upgrade the SSD merely not the RAM.

Son of a bitch.
I'll be expressionless honest, if they rewrote Windows to be built on height of a *cipher or Linux was pleasant to use, I'd be done with this company. Having all of the standard command line tools in an environment that mirrors the servers I use is just too essential to my workflow to surrender, but their consistent move toward closed fully proprietary hardware is getting hard to put up with.
